At St Luke’s Woodside we believe singing is for everybody.

 
We believe that singing can have a transformative effect on people’s lives and the best way to support that is to provide support from an early age.

Between Monday 18th and Friday 22nd August, working with local professional musicians,  we will be providing a FREE singing summer school.
(strictly by application only) for young people aged between 7 and 11.  

We will learn not only about how to sing and how to get the best out of your voice, but also how to read music, and how to listen each other to really harness the power of group singing.  

Absolutely no experience necessary, this will be in a fun, friendly and supportive environment learning both through singing and through play.

We will learn about different types of singing and musical styles as well as learning about church choirs, and the different music that’s sung in Church.  

You don’t need to be from a religious family to take part in this course. 
We welcome any children who’d like to sing, and are eager to learn, and experience something new at St Luke’s. 

There will be the opportunity to celebrate what has been learnt on Friday Afternoon, and as part of our Sunday morning Church service on 24th August.

At St Luke’s we take safeguarding seriously. All our volunteers for the week have been recruited under ‘safer recruitment’, and have done the relevant safeguarding training.

We will be asking for a returnable £50 deposit to secure a place for each child at the week (£50 per family, if more than one child attends).
